Introduction to the Course
Tuhfat al-Atfal is a principal tajwīd text which discusses the main rulings of recitation in a concise, simple, and clear manner. It was authored by Imam Jamzūrī, Allah have mercy upon him, who intended his work to be a primer for beginners in the field. You will not find a respectable Qur’anic institute except that it teaches this poem to its students, and they in turn memorise it, extending a chain of transmission that goes back to the author himself.
For this reason, Imām Jazarī Institute has organised this one-day dawrah to facilitate a comprehensive but intensive commentary on this blessed poem. The course will be delivered by Sh. Ahmed Kamel. Upon completion, students will acquire proficiency and understanding of the complete text.
Students who complete the full course have the opportunity to attain Ijāzah in the matn.
Students embarking on the journey of Ijāzah at the institute will be required to have both the Tuḥfah and Jazariyyah texts memorised and understood

Time: 10am – 6pm
Open to: Jazarī students aged 16+. Limited spaces (priority spacing will be provided to Jazarī students). Students under 16 will be accepted if they are Jazarī students and approved by their teacher.
