Our Arabic calligraphy course is a unique course that not only supports students in their Arabic journey and Qur’an appreciation, but it also helps students explore a creative side to recharge from an often busy and packed lifestyle. Our Islamic history is rich in art, and Arabic calligraphy helps us tap into this rich culture of ours.  The class size is small with a considerable amount of 1-2-1 teacher involvement and feedback from our experienced tutor.

Script Type: Naskh – The Naskh script is the script of the Holy Qur’an, a script in which the noblest words and the greatest verses are written—the words of our Rabb, the Lord of all creation. Its honour and the honour of its writer stem from the honour of what it is used for, and there is no greater honor than the honour of writing the Glorious Quran. 

The Naskh script is the script chosen by great calligraphers and our esteemed scholars for writing the text of the Holy Qur’an. A script that displays the precision and beauty of the Arabic letter and the beauty of the word structure, with ease of reading and clarity of phrases. 

Students: Open to all

Day: Sundays | 12.45pm – 2.30pm (with 15 minute break)

Duration: 18 hours of direct teaching (not including homework, exams and feedback)

Fees: £180 (3 payment split possible) – discount for Jazari students

Certificate of completion provided, along with a calligraphy kit for the best deserving student
